Extended locations, SIETAR world congress (June 2008)

The successful activities lead to a further loication of CICB Center of Intercultural Competence: since end of June 2008 its headquarters are located in Fribourg, at the border between the german-speaking and the french-speaking part of Switzerland. Thus the contacts within the nearby capital of Berne as well as the international city of Geneva are closer. Furthermore, an office was opened in the city center of Zurich, the economic hub of Switzerland - not far from the former headquarters which were located in Zürich-Kloten (see contact).

An important event is the participation of CICB at the world congress of Society for Intercultural Education, Training and Research (SIETAR), where CICB is a member since its foundation. The congress will be held from 22 to 26 October in Granada (Spain). Almost all of the worldwide leading professionals in research, teaching and practicing of intercultural competence are members of SIETAR. Therefore the exchange of knowledge and experiences as well as the extension and consolidation of contacts have a high value.
